I have briefly used Aperture and used Iphoto, but I believe Pshop or CS4 (I own CS4) is far far superior that those mentioned software's... no possible comparison... I could be wrong but I see Aperture as image managing and basic editing, rather than photoshop as a full feature editing solution with integrated plugins for may things..
