When you have the bezel insert replaced at an AD, do they reference the watches serial number to determine the correct bezel insert color?

I called my local AD today to ask them if they could replace my bezel insert. They said sure they would just check the serial number to determine the correct bezel and color.

Anyone else have experience with this? I currently have a black bezel insert and I want a new one put installed. But I believe my original bezel was a coke. If anyone knows for sure please fill me in.
