Introducing my 2nd Rolex

Just came back from Hong Kong with my new to me Rolex Explorer ref #1016. Which has the acrylic crystal and cal. 1570 movement. Rolex stopped making this model in 1989 and replaced it with the 14270 with Sapphire crystal and white gold trimmed markers. My watch was made in 1984 and was sold in Germany, country code 100. I got all the papers, booklets and box. The watch is in mint condition. It appears to have been hardly worn. The inside movement was spotless. I have been looking for a plain non-date and thought it was going to be an Air King but when I saw the larger Explorer (36mm vs 34mm not including crown) I just had to have it. Since they stopped making the 1016 values have skyrocketed so I payed dearly.
