CORAL GABLES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Three crooks are still on the run after committing a high-priced heist.

According to Coral Gables Police, the thieves walked into the Mayors jewelry store in the Village of Merrick Park, located at 358 San Lorenzo Avenue, Saturday afternoon. One of the robbers was in a wheelchair.

A security guard buzzed the three men into the Mayors. Coral Gables Police Officer Kelly Denham described the events that led up to the robbery. "When they were inside the store, they immediately pepper-sprayed the security guard, rendering him disabled," she explained. "They moved over to the Rolex case, removed approximately 20 to 25 Rolexes."

The jewelry store has been robbed two other times, in 2003 and 2009. Joe Pacheco, a shopper, said, "I'm just shocked that this keeps happening."

Coral Gables Police said although three men walked into the store, there were a total of four men who got into a white sport utility vehicle and fled the scene. The SUV headed northbound on LeJeune Road.
