Fit of GMTIIc vs 16600 SD

I bought a V-series SD last year and love it - so much so that I am wanting to add to my Rolex family. There is a good deal on a 2nd-hand V-series GMTIIc that I am thinking of going for (I've been mulling over this model for several months), but I have never tried one on in the flesh. What are the main differences in the wearability / fit between the two? From looking at photos, the GMT seems to have a larger face, a wider bezel, a wider bracelet and a larger crown. I am assuming the head is less thick than the SD and this, along with the wider bracelet, may give it a snugger (less top-heavy) fit on the wrist. Or am I way off the mark?

I was at Baselworld two weeks ago and was not overly keen on the new ceramic models, so thinking I might as well jump for the GMTIIc.

Thanks.
