The larger case has really grown on me over time. Didn't like it at first, but the longer I looked around at used subs/gmts that had been polished a couple times, the more I hated how the crown guards would start to get "pointed" and the lugs would (over a long period of time) start to get narrower.

When Rolex beefed up these two spots (crown guards and lugs), it left me with the impression that I'll be able to keep it looking newer for much longer.

I am starting to like the chunky case quite a bit.



BTW, Chris, that is a nice bit of trivia about the ratios - thanks for sharing.
