How do you open a Parcel Pro delivery?

This is Parcel Pro's policy.

"Coverage for a Parcel Pro, Inc. confirmed shipment ends when delivery is made. Delivery is when a package is signed for at the delivery location, or if a residence, when left at the residential location. Delivery information is based on information provided by carrier."

What happens if you sign for a parcel. Then open it and find no watch? The above says the coverage ended when you signed for it. The shipping co could have opened the box when it was in transit; removed the watch and resealed it....or somebody could have sent you an empty box.

Can you open it before you sign for it, in front of the driver?

What do you guys do?

I am getting a pricey delivery tomorrow, and am starting to worry already :)

I just want to make sure I do everything correctly so I am protected.

Thanks in advance!!
