Bracelet stretch from sleeping with watch?
It is time to revisit this issue. I still wonder, given the spastic like things we do in our sleep, if we stretch our bracelets (jubilee or oyster) during the process. Some say that the steel is so strong that no, you can sleep with the babies on and no problem. The Rolex tech told me that the worst culprit was not sleep, but wearing the bracelet too loose.
Since the Rolex watches are so heavy, the "head" of the process will act as a lever and stretch the rest of the "basis of resistance", ie the bracelet. I think he was talking about REALLY loose bracelets. He also told me that a snug but not tight bracelet keeps the watch better wound. Anyway, I sleep with my watches quite often. Am I stretching them all to hell? |
