there has been some buzz around here about project X sub that daniel craig was seen wearing with no crown gaurds to honor the original 6538 big crown vintage that sean conery wore in the 1950's gold finger movie.
project X does not except watches you own for modifications.. only their brand new watches they modify and sell.. only up untill recently as they have received many requests, they now except current watches you own to modify. which is nice because you can design you watch as you see fit.. there is a hefty price tag on each mod tho.. almost 1000 bucks just to remove the crown gaurds then the other mods they charge for, caseback engravings and enameling cystal replacement satin finishing, pvding etc... so i took the plunge, i mean someone had to take one for the team... had them hack up my brand new V serial subLV. i had them do everything that the project X sub had except for the green X printed on the dial which everyone said they did not like as well as myself not being a fan...
so like the title says, you will love it or hate it.
i for one love it.. i think its a one of a kind and well modified. worth every penny as up close, i can see how much work is involved with take the watch completely apart and cutting, re shaping, and polishing the case, then changing the insert which is a no brainer, new crystal and a factory flawless satin polish.. well enough said. can't wait to see everyones thoughts.
