Weird clicking noise. HELP
Hi All,
So I don't know if I just damaged my 16610. The other morning I woke up and realized that my 16610 had stopped running. This was expected as I had not worn it in two days. It was pretty early in the morning so I wasn't thinking very clearly. I gave it a shake to start it up! I read somewhere that that's not such a good idea. It gets worse. When I was adjusting the time, I noticed that when I unscrewed the crown and pulled it, I noticed that something didn't feel right. I felt like it was somewhere between the two positions so I pushed it back in and tried again. I eventually got it so that I could adjust the time and it felt normal. I tried adjusting the date and noticed that the dates didn't "click" through the numbers as fast as I remembered. My main concern--when I shake my watch gently and listen carefully, I CAN HEAR A CLICKING NOISE! I don't remember hearing this in the past and I'm afraid that I damaged my watch that morning. I removed the bracelet and can still hear it. I'm pretty bummed. I wasn't planning on getting it serviced in the next year or two and I don't really have the expendable income right now. It's still keeping good time (+1/2 sec per day) but I'm concerned that if I hold off getting it serviced, I'm going to pay more in the long run. Somebody help me! Thanks. |
