The dive stories (and photos) are very cool. My Rolex doesn't tell a story nearly that dangerous (and there is certainly no watch part embedded in my hand or wrist)...unless you count the time I wore my watch into a jacuzzi, risking damage to the inner rubber gaskets on the crown.

My husband and I met while we were 19-year-old college students, and married 3 years later, while in law school. I insisted that I did not (and still do not want) a diamond on my wedding ring. I have a plain, gold band. For the Valentine's Day before our 10th wedding anniversary, he got me my Yachtmaster. I jokingly refer to it as "my diamond." I wear it and appreciate it each day. I get far, far more satisfaction out of my watch than I would out of a rock on my wedding ring.
