Does the engraved rehaut work?

We're told the original purpose of the engraved rehaut is to further prevent accurate counterfeit watches. My question is simple: Are there any KNOWN counterfeit Rolex watches with the engraved rehaut? If so, does anyone mind posting a few pictures?

I'm not worried about any specific watch or anything, just curious how reliable it is to distinguish a counterfeit from the real deal based partially on the rehaut.

I apologize if this has been discussed before.
