Explorer II - Never Copied.

I was thinking recently that the explorer & milgauss models are never seen to be 'copied' by a 'lesser' brand. Subs, GMTs, Daytona, DD, DJ all have had models created by other watch brands that look almost identical - I'm not talking fakes, just watches with the same case/dial/bracelet to make it look Rolex at a casual glance.
e.g:

I know Rolex's are considerd almost genre defining in certan applications but how many more £25 Datejust look-alikes does the world need, and why are some other classic premium watches never 'paid homage to'?

I know these questions are a bit pointless but it will be intresting to hear anyones thoughts.
