The last time I was in to see Giovanni at the San Francisco RSC, he was searching for parts for an old Fiat he was working on.

Unfortunately, new cars are to the point of being computers on wheels.

I used to race until a couple of years ago and you are spot on. Everybody from the drivers to owners to mechanics and fans wore nice watches. I think if you have an affinity for mechanical things, mechanical watches just fit in.
