Can we review repair options again, pls? NYC.
Greetings, All:
It's time for my old Sub to go to the hospital. If you recall, this is the 60s vintage number that I got with a Jubilee bracelet. Pictures have been posted. I am in NYC. I got a very good result from the Chicago outfit on repairing my DJ, but I wasn't really blown away by some aspects of the customer service. For instance, they knew that I was waiting anxiously for my watch back (it had been over a month) and I called them for the umpteenth time and the response this time was "we're just waiting for payment." 1) They could have called me vice me calling them. 2) They made me wait an additional, unnecessary period. 3) Also, my shipping intx were NOT followed, and I had to go to the PO to pick up the watch. Avoidable time wastage. That having been said, I would consider them again, just see if I can somehow avoid the needless delay. I got the old gal's bracelet repaired, and it looks youthful and radiant. It's just that the watch will run for a period -- sometimes a long while, sometimes a short white -- then stop. Also, it is exhibiting some other bad symptoms. So I would like once again to bother my friends here for repair centre recommendations. Many thanks, and hope all have been well since my last post -- ages ago, it seems. I have engaged in a couple of PMs with users here, I am happy to report. LT SUBMADATEJUST, USN |
