Replacement Case

I need thoughts, opinions, arguments...anything on the topic of buying a Rolex with a replacement case.

My point is I'm looking at a 16750 all original except the case has been replaced, no papers.

No serial number......but it had an "R" with 3 numbers in place of the serial number.

How does Rolex authenticate/service/repair watches with replacement cases?

Anyone have any experience with this. What should you look for?

Most threads on the forum are about all original watches.......

thanks in advance
