Is there a difference?
Is there a difference between fake and aftermarket?
I stopped by one of those "We buy Gold, Diamonds, and Rolex" places yesterday it was a very nice place more like a high end jewelry store than a pawn shop located next to a strip club (which it was). I was talking to the saleswoman and she said all their watches are checked by a watchmaker they use and he will refuse to work on a fake. Their watches do not come with papers but they guarantee authenticity. I asked if I took it to an AD and they said it was a fake could I get my money back and she said yes. OK that was their watches but they had several Rolex dials and bezels on display she said some are real and some are aftermarket but she does not know which are which. Is aftermarket just a nice name for fake too me if it’s not genuine Rolex than it’s a fake you can call it aftermarket all you want. Am I wrong?
