Panarai Model 0050 review
Well, got my PAM 50 the other day. Must say is one excellent watch!
Bracelet was a little stiff and sharp at first, but after several days seems smoother and broken in. Bracelet is ver solid and the no taper thick design give a nice uniform look tothe bracelet and looks strong on the wrist. The Lum is the best I have ever seen on a watch! Can read the watch all night long. Has held up good in the pool on some long swims. The dial is very clean looking and the case has a nice shape to it. Keeping great time, seems to be right on after several days. Had to get a little use to feeling the rotor move. Kind of weird at first, but now it is kind of cool and seems as if the watch is alive. Use to it now. One of the Panarai dealers, no the one I bought the watch from, explained to me that PAMs use larger parts that they subcontract out to have built, thus very realiable, but can feel/hear the movement better. Definately the largest and heaviest watch I have ever owned, but used now to the wieght and feels pretty good. I personally would not get a watch larger than this one. Makes my Rolex Explorer II watches seem ultra light and small after wearing this PAM OVerall, very happy with this watch. Fits great, looks great, and very rugged. One word to describe this watch, "SOLID". |
