I have a question concerning some of the Submariners.
First of all please forgive any lack of knowledge reguarding the Rolex brand or any other brand. I'm learning.
My question is that on some of the Submariners with either vintage lume or just older models I am starting to notice that in the center where the cannon pinion for the hands are, there seems to be either corrosion or something that is of a rusting or corroding effect, the hands can also have some of this also. Note: I am speaking of some of the pics that have been posted on the forum. Would this be just from age of the timepiece, (7 to 9 years) or is this because somewhere down the line the watch needed a new gasket for the back?. Thanks for your time. |
