Icon20 2 new subs for gifts ...

Hi gents and ladies ,
Lately i've been thinking about buying 2 new Subs for my God sons , at present they are only 10 and 12 years old and wish to give them for their 18th birthdays.
Serious question, would they be ok in storage for the next 6 years and 8 years respectively ?
My own Daytona hasn't seen the light of day for a while now but just wondered if it would be ok
Also went to my AD where i have purchased before and they are quite happy to take a deposit now and pay on arrival but NO discount at all .
They would however honour the price at point of deposit thus avoiding the extra 2.5% VAT rise in January.
Good deal do we think ?? all thoughts appreciated ,
Thanks ..
