Being offered to swap for a 1601-4

Hi everyone,

I'm being offered to trade my 16264 Turn-o-graph (blue dial, roman markers) for a 1601-4 DJ. According to the owner it has been recently serviced by RSC.

I've been looking for a nice DJ to replace my DJ TOG and was wondering if anyone could pitch in with regards to the 1601-4, as I know so little about it. As I understand it it's a vintage piece but that's all I know. The owner has no box or papers but has the Rolex service receipt and I'm going to look at it in a few days. He says it's a 70's model but doesn't know the exact year??? Is it possible for me to find it out by the serial?

Any tips, opinions, suggestions, advice? Any 1601-4 owners out there? How does it compare with the modern 36mm DJs?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
