Hello, first time poster here.
Attached are photos of the GMT my uncle gave me some years ago. It had not run for years, had no crystal and the red paint on the 24 hr hand was gone. I had the watch serviced and brought back to life. Eventually I replaced the original bracelet with a modern one as the links were loosening up. I have included photos of the original bracelet and another partial bracelet I acquired. I apologize for the photos, they are not high quality. The bezel is pretty worn and the face is also showing it's age, definately not pristine. After my uncle passed away the family found some GMT brochures and several business cards from Geneva jewelry/watch shops and what appears to be a sales receipt from Phillippe Beguin Chronometrie in Geneva dated 10/8/57. Serial # is 212XXX. I also apologize for any errors in nomenclature...I love watches but am no scholar in the genre. Am looking for comments and insurance/replacement estimates. TIA- Kent |
