Where did the GMT II "Error Dial" term come from...
OK, I know there have been tons of threads on the Stick Font / 3186 movement hype etc. Padi /Larry have opined a fair bit on these watches.
However, I wanted to ask where the term "Error Dial" originated. Anyone know? The name implies a Rolex dial vendor had a misprint or some such thing. I see two watches listed in the classified section using this term. A mod has nicely edited one listing calling out the seller on the use of the term. Furthermore, two listings are asking > $7,000 USD for these watches! |
