OK..I think I'm officially crazy..
Only one week after buying my first Rolex, see post here:
http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=163309 I am already thinking of moving on to my second  ...I mean the 16610 is truly a very nice watch but I have become accustomed to large watches in the 42-45mm range and every time I put the 16610 on my wrist I dont feel too impressed...I am very aware that quality and weight are not proportional in any way...but I think I want more heft :bounce:.. So I am ehmmm..looking at trading the 16610 for a DSSD  ...has anyone here made the switch? Do you think it is worthwhile? I am asking for your opinion cause a LNIB 16610 is not going to be very easy to replace a short time for now :( ...and I cant keep both for 4 reasons: 1) I have self limited my collection to around 6 watches so need to move one to buy another 2) I might not have the budget for 2 expensive Rollies 3) My girlfriend will kill me... 4) My girlfriend will kill me... In my eyes, apart from the obvious size difference there are a few advantages to it which I think I really like (I only listed those which interest me..for example 3900m vs 300m WR rating is not important to me): - Larger markers and hands - Better lume - Better clasp - Upgraded movement Thanks for any help and opinions... |
