How many of you treat your rolex like a baby?

I have a gmt2c. I used to baby it all the time. taking care when i wear it, wiping it with soft cloth.

then came to a point that i wiped it down too much it has lost its shine.

then there came a point that it has become used for out of town trips

then there came a point that i just didnt care anymore and wore it all the time, swimming, showering, desk diving.

how many of you have had this progression?
