Check out what my dad gave me!
Saw my dad last week and we got to talking about watches. He doesn't really wear Rolex, but knows I like them. So he mentioned he had an old one that I could have. It was given to him in the 80's for becoming a partner at his law firm but it wasn't his style. Honestly it's not my style either but I will never turn down a free Rolex. He said I can keep it, sell it, do whatever I want with it. Honestly, it is absolutely gorgeous in person, although it is not something I can wear daily. A bit too flashy, still beautiful though. Check it out. Looks cool on the wrist, I feel like a king with it on.
Here's the thing, it hasn't been serviced since 03. The crown is busted and the bezel doesn't turn properly. My local AD said a service, including crown repair, at RSC in Toronto would be about $1000 including taxes, which is fine. How likely am I to get a bigger bill than that? Should I send it through the AD or directly to Rolex? If so, how do I do that? Thanks in advance, guys. |
