As you all know, it's ALL about confidence. You need to have the confidence to be able to wear anything well. Be it shoes, a nice suit, designer sunglasses, a hat.... even your car. No point in having the Porsche or Ferrari and looking like you're delivering it for a customer when you get out of it!!!
Even your glamour puss wife/girlfriend...... got to have the confidence to get one in the first place and then carry it off in bars, clubs and restaurants. The watch is just an accessory and yet so many people think its the watch that people notice. If you have the confidence and look the part, people think your "insignificant brand" watch is $20k. One of my wealthiest clients wears A. Lang & Sohne, Vacheron, Patek and Rollies amongst many others but also happily wears some of the cheapest watches I have seen. But scarily, they look bloody amazing on him.... A year or so back, he has a transparent Toy Watch brand i had never seen and it looked really good and expensive on him and when i asked, he laughed and said he had had more questions about that watch than any of the $100k ones he regularly wears. His daughter had bought it him for Xmas :-) If you feel comfortable in your watch, wear it........ whethr to an interview or other event. Your question implies you're not very confident about wearing it because you worry about the impression it may give about you to other people. Is that a particularly confident person??????? |
