All Gold Day Datejust

Not so long ago I received the all clear from my old man to sell his all gold Day Datejust purchased early 80s. It had diamonds where the hours are and a bark strip in the middle of the bracelet. It has always been serviced regularly at RSC and is mint condition and the papers were kept. It went for $6,700.

Was this a fair price? I thought it was low but the few offers I had were in this region.

I would be grateful if someone could let me know if this was about right. A rough price range is good enough. It's gone now and nothing I can do so this is just out of curiosity.

Apologies if I happen to be posting this in the wrong section. Also sorry I don't have any photos of the watch.
