I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are on this? With the early Rolexes being expressly designed as functional tools and not fashion items, it seems the iconic status and the aesthetic we all love was unintentional. The soul intention of the new ceramic types seems to be; a functional watch that will stay blingy forever. Will we ever see; "Vintage Red Sub-c, Lugs in good condition, ceramic still as black and shiny as ever, bracelet still doesn't rattle. Lume is still blue---- £80,000"?
