Calatrava face material???

Hello everyone here at TRF! I am wondering if anyone knows what material the face of a Patek Calatrava 5217 (or any Calatrava, for that matter) is made of? Aluminum? Platinum? Ceramic?

The off-white appearance from this timepiece is absolutely amazing. It literally seems to change with the light. So I was hoping someone "in the know" can fill me in on the material it is made from.

Thanks in advance!
