Has the Rolex DateJust pretty much stayed the same for some time? This one is circa 1988. Have there been many major changes since then? I'm thinking about trying to purchase this watch. It's listed at about 85% condition. If I send a 1988 DJ to the RSC for a servicing and it comes back looking new is it pretty much the same watch as a new DJ? I think this is just such a classic design. Also, what's the difference between the DJ and date? Thanks.

P.S. What do you think about the diamonds on the dial - with or without?
