watch & magnetic field

Hi all....
i was wondering if this topic has been mentioned before .... if it is then good ...all of you can fire away...speak up and help me...

when i got home from the office today i found my cartier watch was placed accidentally over my bose stereo near the speaker by my brother who came by to my house and was looking for something ( that i didnt have in my room at the first place )

anyway.... i know how magnetic field affect quartz movement only in a time where it is in the field. whilst automatic watch may be affected and therefore needs to be demagnitized.

should i be worry about this? or am i simply being paranoid?
oh also.... when the above happened, my watch wasnt runnign cos i havent worn them for 4 days

have a great weekend people
