Regular maintenance for Rolex
I received an OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE 34 mm, steel and white gold watch. I wore it for a little over five years, taking it off only for sleep and the only issue I encountered was it tended to run slow.
Before sending it in for the recommended maintenance I did get a link removed as I was told that the loose wear style I preferred could lend itself to the time issue. The repair was done timely, though I received no communications during the process except for the call that the watch was back at the jewelers. Unfortunately when I picked up the watch it was not running, and it would not run for more than three days at a time without banging it to get it to start again. Rolex took the watch and repaired it in a timely fashion, but again I received no information on what was going on, nor what corrective actions were taken. Is this level of service appropriate for this company? This cost $600 and I have nothing to show for it other than a clean watch, IMHO. |
