Today I joined the "1675 club"
What a nice day to finally get my first Rolex. I've been looking for a while and been following this forum for quite some time. Searching for the one to keep and it wasnīt easy to pick the right one. I spend 7 hours in my car since it was cheaper than flying and Iīm so pleased with the result. Iīm still a newbie to Rolex since this is my first, but I would really like to hear if this looks nice or Iīm just a blind newbie. I know that the bezel is only 16-18 years old since it was changed (and unfortunately he didnīt have the old one anymore). But the rest looks sweet with patina and feels like it belongs to my wrist :)
Itīs a serial number 22xxxxx and I think itīs from anno 1967. The former owner took it to Rolex AD service every 5 years so I plan to continue that. Looking so much forward to climb through the clouds the day after tomorrow and let this beautiful watch go to the enviroment it was build to be. The picture is just taken with my iphone, so I hope to add some better ones later. A few questions: Should I be winding it every morning (those 30-40 times) or not? How should I keep it clean? Is it correct that itīs a 1967? Hope you all had a sweet day, because I will remember this day for sure. Thank you for any input, /Baudie |
