1992 16618 question
Hi,
Hope you can give me some advice... I am about to buy a second hand 16618 for about £7,000. It looks pretty good. Has a certificate with a number. The shop offers a years guarantee. I am a little concerned however The guy (its a resller of 2nd hand rolex shop) says as the certificate says 2002 it is a 2002 model yet the code number means its a 1992 manufacture - should I be concerned? He says age doesn't really matter as it is working fine and looks fine - Surely the wath has a heart and they wear out so 25 year old watch will die soon? The strap is fine but it only just fits my wrist - can there be links missing (My wrist is not huge) - how many links should it have? Also the strap has pins not little screws - is this okay? There are no serial numbes on the strap at all - On the back of the buckle it says R10 or something... Should I be worried... Many thanks |
