I just checked out the new edition of International Watch magazine which had a special feature on approximately 50 dive watches including the SD. Out of all the watches, that ranged in price from around $300 to $210,000, only one exceeded the SD's depth rating.

There were several that had a rating of 1000 meters but none exceeded that except a Bell & Ross that was oil filled and had a depth rating of 11,100 meters! And some say the SD's 1220m is overkill.

I'm sure there are some others out there that have deeper depth rating but the old SD is holding its own.
