The Rolex Experience Shanghai
I took a walk this lunchtime down the Bund in Shanghai, first stop was at the Omega flagship store trying on the new POs, must say they are nice (and very heavy), and I really like the chrono which has a great see through case back showing off what looks like a fantastic movement (no pics though).
Then it was onto the the recently opened Rolex Boutique in the House Of Roosevelt. Whilst Rolex have lagged in China in terms of their shop fronts, this more than makes up for it, the Boutique is huge and nicely laid out, what's more it must hold more variations of Rolexes that any other place I've been to, they seriously had something like 20 versions of Daytona on display. Next to the boutique is the Rolex Experience which is a museum/exhibition area, one part with the history of Rolex and the other a temp exhibition (now displaying Rolex's association with Tennis as it's The Masters in Shanghai. I only got a peak at the experience as you need to book the tour which takes 1.5 hours, have booked my spot later this month. To round off the trip was getting to try on my Rolex grail the Platinum DD. Have included some pics - hope to include more when I visit the Experience later this month....
