The items non watch related I have purchased in less than pleasant geographical areas were done with the knowledge that I will blow my $. I was prepared to risk this against the intrinsic value normally placed on these items. Some items I purchased were good some were sub standard.

But these items hold memories of where I have been over the years and have history for me and my family.

Do what ever you can within the laws of the land where you are now to re coupe what ever you can. Putting aside the hit squad.

Duly noted on all fronts.

It's not like this is the first "bhat" item I've lost out on, it's just the first time we've dabbled in rolexes.

As for the laws of the land... I think a hit squad is actually well within the guidelines of the culturally accepted here.

Thanks for the opinions, I was actually hoping for a little more specific criticism that I could cite when trying to get my money back, but apprently that may have been a little much to hope for from a community of purists. C'est la vie.
