Vintage with family history
Mods,
I know this is an Omega in the vintage Rolex section but I figured the vintage guys could help me with this more than the Omega forum. Feel free to move if you must. I thought I would share some pictures of my Omega Automatic that was given to me by my mom recently. She and my stepfather raised me from the time I was 10 until I left for college. My stepfather passed away from cancer this year and the watch was given to him by his father who got it for 25 years of service. On the back it reads" presented to D.L Christian 25 years of loyal service. Union camp corporation 1973 It's my first Omega and I'm not really sure what to do with it. Surprisingly, it is running pretty good within 30 seconds a day. I doubt its ever been serviced. I will never sell it but I am considering having it serviced and sourcing a nice leather band for it. I'm trying to find out if it is real gold or not. The caseback is stamped 166.070 |
