Just a reminder, please vaccinate and provide heartworm preventative to your dogs!

My friend rescued Zar a few months ago. He took the worst looking dog from the shelter. He knew he would not have a chance otherwise. Zar is a Malamute/ Possible Wolf Mix. He had heartworms and he was in end stage disease. He was emaciated and roaming the streets. My friend spent a night outside sleeping next to the dog in his kennel when he was really ill and he was getting better and ready for treatment when he took a turn for the worse today.....Zar died because of heartworms. My friend is devastated.

Zar was a beautiful, sweet, gentle giant. He was a huge dog. He was taller than me when standing on his back legs. But he was so sweet and gentle. He didn't desreve the life he had before my friend Chris rescued him. Please give your dogs HW preventative!!!

When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the Heavens. ~
