WTB Vintage Rolex on a budget

I'm looking to buy a vintage Rolex in less than mint condition so to speak. I plan on using this as my rougher situations watch so I do not want to invest a lot in a prime specimen. I was thinking something from the mid 50's or newer would be ok.

I'm fairly new to the vintage Rolex world. Based on what I've read and seen I would be looking at the following models:
Datejust
Airking
Oyster Precision

I prefer a 36mm over 34mm but want to hear about anything.

I am looking to spend around $1000-$1200 unless something really catches my eye. Ideally, it would tickle my fancy if someone had a subprime TT Datejust. Of course, I will take into consideration if the watch has

This will be my first Rolex purchase and I hope it to be a great experience.
