i would love to know what you guys are doing to your watches

I saw someone post a pretty nice ding in the lug of their LV yesterday, which doesn't really bother me. i mean, it is a watch, and it is meant to be worn. however, i did take a look at my Tag which i wore pretty much every day from 2001-2011. it has some swirls, etc, but not a real ding on the whole thing.

what are you people doing to get these deep dings on your watches? is 904L soft? i don't get it!

FYI, my (new to me) GMT II, which i have had since last summer, doesn't have a ding yet. maybe i am just lazy or not adventurous.
