14060 purchased and Serviced. UK
I purchased a pre owned 14060 Submariner no date A series 1999 watch just before Christmas., from a private seller in Cyprus. I had the watch fully authenticated by a cyprus based AD before I purchased and ensured everything was as it should be. It has the boxes, paper, booklets and anchor. Apart from a fine scratch on the sappire the watch is great and had been well looked after. I paid approx £2100 for the watch then sent it straight for a service to satisfy myself that all was as the seller advertised.
The watch went to WILLIAM RICE in Hull, a small independant Rolex approved service agent. This cost £355. After less than 3 weeks the watch is on its way back to me and I am so excited to see it all polished and smoothly working away, so I can finally wear it. After all of my research, I am confident that the total cost of less than £2500for a fully serviced, A' serial watch with boxes, papers etc was a good price to pay and I can only hope that it may gain in value over the years. Especially if the "discontinued" rumours ring true. I'll post pics as soon as I can. |
