Got my First Rolex Today (16610)
It's been about 8 years since I've owned a watch (Montblanc Meisterstuck Chrono). After recently deciding I was ready to get back in the game (no thanks to CharlieSF, my coworker) I bought a Timex from J Crew to hold me over until I could pick up a Tudor Heritage Black Bay in Hong Kong this summer. Well, I couldn't wait that long, and the right Sub landed on this board via OCROLEXGUY (Patrick) Saturday morning.
As of about 10:25AM (Pacific Time. And Yes, you just made that 10:30 guarantee Fedex) I am the proud owner of this amazing, 16610 L Serial Submariner. I really love the faded hands/dial, which gives it that vintage look I was looking for. In anticipation of it's arrival, I ordered a bunch of Nato straps this weekend thinking I wouldn't really like the SS bracelet. WRONG. I really love the look and feel of this watch on my wrist. The smile on my face while typing this is priceless. I now know what I've been missing all these years. Here you go, enjoy the pics. Glad to be on this board and a new member of the Rolex family. -Drama |
