I picked this "HUNTER" watch up at an antique store... Anyone familiar???
I'm always on the lookout for interesting looking vintage watches, not necessarily concerned with monetary value, but just things that look cool to me.
I happened upon this "HUNTER" automatic yesterday. I asked the sales lady if I could see it and with a gentle shake the second-hand came to life, smoothly sweeping around the dial. It's been on winder since I brought it home and is still keeping perfect time with the clock on my computer. (I realize this is not the best way to really gauge the accuracy of a timepiece, but I don't have any fancy equipment for that purpose) I've never heard of Hunter, and finding any information on the web has been futile. Regardless of its value, I was more than happy to pay the full asking price of $14. :-) Any information would be appreciated! Paul |
