The candle

Father Johnson walks down a street on a sunny day when he meets Mrs. Donovan:

- Good morning ma'am, I believe you are that lady I married to Mr. Tate about two years ago, am I right?

- Yes you are Father!

- Wonderful! Therefore I believe you already have one or a couple of little Tates in your family, am I right?

- Unfortunately Father, as much as we try it seems like it didn't happen yet.

- How sad! Let me tell you something, I'm going to Rome next week, perhaps I could light a fertility candle for you!

- Thank you very much Father!

And so they leave each other and the next week, as promised, Father Johnson leaves his small town for Rome. It was only a few years later that he could enjoy a good walk on the street again and, to his surprise, he meets Mrs. Donovan:

- Say, Mrs. Donovan, it's been a long time! How have you been? Did the family grow?

- I'm doing great Father! In fact I gave birth to our third set of twins about two months ago and I am now pregnant with my fifth single!

- That is amazing! What about your husband?

- He just left this very morning! He went to Rome to blow out your darn candle!
