New member...lifelong Rolex lover
Hello All...my name is Jess and I work/live in Southern California.
My Grandfather wore a Rolex every day for decades and I always admired the watch. Now that I am a father (my son is 3), I find myself drawn to finally purchasing one...not just looking at them at my local dealer every few months. It's time to reward myself for all of my hard work! The Explorer (1) is the perfect size for my wrist, but I'm not sure that is is flashy enough. I've always loved the GMT II (pepsi dial), but not sure it goes with everything I wear. The 50th Anniversary Green Submariner always catches my eye. Lately I've really been drawn to a two-tone GMT II with blue dial/bezel. I feel like I'll be "pulling the trigger" soon...any advice would be appreciated! Some questions I have are...is it better to buy from a Rolex authorize dealer vs. buying a new watch on ebay or some other website? What's up with the RSC registration process...is this necessary/advised? Any other advice you can provide would be appreciated. I'll post pics of the new addition as soon as I make the purchase. And if anyone in Southern California can recommend a good local store to purchase from...I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Jess |
