Prepay for a Daytona in full to get on the waiting list?

There is a out of state AD willing to put me on the waiting list for a daytona for spot#3 if I prepay for the daytona in full in advance ($7900). The price is subject to change if Rolex raise the MSRP. The AD stated that they got about 4 daytonas a year. Do you guys think it is a good idea?

I am not going to re-sell the watch for profit. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it on Rolex's website before knowing anything about its hype or price. I've never bought any watch from any AD in the US before so I don't think I can get on the waiting list otherwise.
