Just for the fun of it, and for insurance purposes, I have taken off the bracelet(s) from OUR Rolexs and noted the serial and model numbers. I then compared the model numbers to a Rolex Model Chart, found on the internet, to make sure they match the watch (Model/Bezel/Material). Easy with five digit model numbes, but not so with four digit numbers. One question? The model number of my wife's midsize is 68273 and I cannot find a reference for the type of bezel, which I understand, is the second to last number (i.e. 7). Seems the chart for bezel types only goes up to 6. Hmmmm? Guess I need to buy the Rolex bible for more detailed research.
