datejust authenticity
hi folks,
i've got some questions about a Rolex i've got, and thought I'd check here since my googling has proved fruitless. i've had this rolex for approximately 5 years. a friend needed to borrow money for rent, and gave me this watch as collateral that she would pay me back. i guess its clear she never paid me back. anyhow, i'd put the watch away and hadn't even seen it til just a couple weeks ago because I'd forgot I even had it. At first, I thought the battery was dead because it'd been in a closet for 3 years but when i put it on it started working. the time is correct, the date is wrong. there is no rolex service center or store near me. the closest is at least an hour and a half away. i'd like to know if this watch is authentic or a fake before i drive all the way to have it serviced.
I do not know how to remove the band to find the serial number. The guides I've seen say to use a pin or something sharp to push the pin in on the band but I don't even see where these pins are. If pics are needed, I will try to take pics of the watch. Not sure how much detail I can get in the pic though. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated and valued! Thank you! |
